My task for this project was to design a ‘Good Guide’ for The Guardian newspaper, an informative A5 booklet specifically aimed at a fairly adult, somewhat wealthy target audience. I chose television as my subject because my research proved that The Guardian readers are interested in television as an art form, it’s no longer just entertainment now, television is critiqued extensively in newspapers, magazines and blogs.
I put this booklet together in Adobe InDesign, using Adobe Photoshop to edit the images I used. Although a Graphic Designer would typically be handed the text, I decided to write all the copy that would be placed inside my publication. An ambitious undertaking, yes, but one that I am proud of.
